Lónya Reformed Church

  • Lónya Reformed Church, a pearl of the Route of Medieval Churches

    Lónya settlement’s Romanesque church almost completely preserved its medieval shape. Since there were no significant redevelopments in the past, different styles of wall paintings maintained under the new plaster. After the 2001 flood devastation in Bereg, historic restorations began in the church. At that time, a significant part of the dazzling murals turned up in the nave and the sanctuary. The church pulpit and pulpit’s carved crown are outstanding beauties.
