Fairy Island of Móricz, Tiszacsécse
That region is a very rich in monuments of literature historical region of the historical Szatmár, of the Carpathian Basin. That is the land, where Ferenc Kölcsey, Endre Ady and Zsigmond Móricz were born, where Sándor Petőfi had several visits, what is more, he found his wife in Szatmár. Zsigmond Móricz was born in Tiszacsécse, and he also spent his childhood there. His ties always remained very strong to the people of Szatmár, many of his works inspired by his homeland. In Tiszacsécse, the Memorial House of Zsigmond Móricz can be found; a tribute to one of the largest Hungarian writer, a must-see stop of the heritage tour.
